POLITICAL POWER
Political power is power held by a government or Party over a large population. This type of power is easily abused, however the repercussions and consequences can be enormous. An example of this type of power is the British Government in the film In the Name of the Father. The British government abuse their power by convicting the Guildford Four of crimes they did not commit based upon falsified testimonies and little factual evidence. When the bomber confessed to the British Police they covered up the confession in order to save face, abusing their power to convict justly. This abuse led to the oppression of Gerry Conlon, his family and friends, through their imprisonment.
